Jump into the Countryside!

Look forward to an action packed, hands-on event with food, farming and countryside at its core.  Keep the kids entertained all day long with free activities, entertainment, their favourite countryside creatures and much more!  The Show has plenty of indoor and outdoor activities so whatever the weather CountryTastic provides the perfect, great value day out for all the family!

This year's CountryTastic takes place on Thursday 17th April 2014 from 10am - 5pm!

Junkfish

A fabulous range of FREE children’s activities with wonderful make and take crafts, giant hula hoops, the popular Junk Ball Run and a relaxed chill out area with lots of fun for the family.

Whalley Pig

See the 30 foot long sleeping sow snuffle and snore in her pen!  A farm hand will invite the public to act like pigs and take a peek at a 10 minute show which takes place in her belly.

Baker

Forget the Great British Bake Off, come and bake your own yummy bread with Mike Wallace.  Learn how to make bread, allow it to prove and then bake in the oven, all warm and delicious to take home.

Easy Peasy Cookery School

Our mobile cookery school is great fun and hands on.  Come and learn how to make some delicious food, quickly and simply with the focus on healthy eating, seasonal vegetables, local produce and working within a budget.

Forest School with Mountain Munchkins

Bring your Mini Adventurers along to this fun filled outdoor session and get a taste of what Forest School is all about and let your kids get back to nature.  Activities will include natural art and sensory games that children will enjoy and parents can use again in the future.

This session will be aimed at children from 2 - 8 years old however older and younger children are also welcome to attend.  Children will require a parent to accompany them and suitable outdoor clothing (which may get muddy!)
