Mid Western Gundog Society - The energetic gundogs will be putting on a fast paced and excitable display in the Wag and Bone Ring with the society on hand to answer any questions and tips on how to train a gundog.

Meet the Animals


Spend time in Cow Corner with a huge Hereford Bull and a cute Highland calf or visit The Stables and groom some of the minature ponies.

They''ll be plenty of your favourite animals to meet and greet as well as their friendly owners there to answer all your questions.

Make sure you come and say hello to the lovely Greyfaced Dartmoor sheep, Dot and a very young Billy-Jo from Oakberrow. For more ongoing's and pictures of Dot and Billy-Jo visit the Oakberrow website!


With easy Animal Zones you'll have no trouble finding your new favourite countryside animal!

  • Sheep Shed - Sheep, lambs and all things woolly.
  • Piggy Pen - Variety of pigs ranging from Kune Kune to Tamworths.
  • Cow Corner - Moooooooo! Big bulls, little calves and hands on dairy activities including butter churning.
  • Feathered Friends - With a flap and flurry there will be plenty to gaggle at with a range of chickens, ducks and other feathered friends on show.
  • Vet’s Practice - Our very own Vet's Practice will be on hand to show and tell some of the procedures that go on with amazing real life video footage!
  • The Stables - A neigh and a bray will send you in the right direction of the friendly Shetland ponies and Donkeys.
  • Dog Kennels - With their wagging tails and twinkling eyes the gundogs will be ready to greet any visitor.
  • Wildlife Way - Countryside creatures and activities including Ferret racing and Bugs + Beasties.
  • Animal Parades throughout the day.

Free hands on activities


With the majority of activities being FREE there will be something for all the family to get stuck into! Decorate a cake, search for some wiggly worms or try your hand at making a hay halo!

The Coop will be bringing their award winning From Farm to Fork roadshow! So get your kids inspired and passionate about food and where it comes from. Workshops and tastings will be happening throughout the day.

The Lets Talk Farming Roadshow will be rolling up to Countrytastic with plenty of farming fun and games. Make sure you visit and take a seat on their hay bales and try your hand at milking their model dairy cow, Annabelle!
