Halloween Bonfire Set To Make A Bang

By student, Tom Allen, of St. Mary’s High School Hereford.

The Halloween fireworks display is set to make its debut at the Malvern Showground on Saturday 31 October.

It is the first time Showground owner, the Three Counties Agricultural Society, has organised a Halloween-themed display which is being expertly conjured up by Dragonfire, a Hereford based team which has masterminded displays such as Birmingham’s New Year celebrations and the EICA display.

This is the thirteenth fireworks spectacular at the Showground – which first took to the skies to celebrate the Society’s bicentenary in 1997. It is now one of the largest displays in the county.

Approximately £8,500 worth of rockets, bombettes and shells will be fired into the sky and the entire display is set to music, making it all that more impressive.

As well as the explosions, there are spooky activities, a funfair and a chance to win prizes if you come in a ghoulish costume. Refreshments and free parking are also provided.

Sharon Gilbert - Press & PR Manager for the Malvern Showground said: “It is an exciting and fun filled event for kids and adults alike, and the Halloween theme should give the event an exciting twist.”

Gates open at 5.30pm tickets are £6.50 and under 5’s go free.
