Editor's Notes:
The Three Counties Show is a fund raising event for the Three Counties Agricultural Society (Registered charity no: 511868).
Assistance and participating dogs only.
The dynamic duo travelled the length of the UK last year, taking part in strange, but quintessentially British, sporting events such as cheese rolling, pie eating, bog snorkelling and wife carrying!
Determined to explore the hidden athleticism within every possible town, village and hamlet, the pair competed against each other in some events, and have many old scores to settle this time round.
They are coming to the first day of Malvern’s Three Counties Show (19 – 21 June) to learn the art of sheep shearing with Three Counties Sheep Shearing Committee member, Stephen Lloyd.
Stephen, who qualified in the English Shearer of the Year finals, recently represented the English team at the World Finals in Norway, so they will be in capable hands.
Rory McGrath is famous for his panel appearances on the BBC’s ‘They Think It’s All Over’ and as the co-founder of Hat Trick Productions, and Paddy McGuinness starred in Peter Kay’s ‘Phoenix Nights’ and ‘Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere’.
When the day’s work is done, the cameras will carry on rolling, as Rory and Paddy party with farmers and breeders to the strains of funky folk and country music from ‘Cut A Shine’ and ‘The All Forest Stars’, at the now legendary Stockman’s Concert on Friday night.
Tickets for the Show are available in advance from the Ticket Hotline on 01684 584924 or online.
Book by Friday 12 June for discounted tickets.
