The first of the National RHS shows, the Malvern Spring Gardening Show has developed an enviable reputation for being one of the finest, most spectacular and friendliest gardening shows of the year. Its spacious surroundings and easy access means that it attracts a national audience of gardening enthusiasts.
With around 92k visitors attending over four days, it remains a unique way to reach a highly affluent and influential audience (73% ABC1’s).

With a more mature visitor profile, it is not surprising that those visiting this event, have a higher than average household income (£41500 SGS versus £31000 UK). This is reflected in the high average spend of £120 per visitor, resulting in a total show spend of around £10.8m. Three quarters of the visitors also planned to buy something in the future as a result of their visit.

With so much to see and do, 79% of visitors spent 5 hours or more at the show and the overall opinion of the show was either good or very good (87%). The main reason for visiting was “to get ideas/inspiration” and “for a day out”.
With almost all the visitors considering visiting the show again (97%) the Malvern Spring Garden Show remains an influential event, and the favourite gardening show for many of our visitors.
