Dedicated to living in the countryside, with traditional country sports and demonstrations of country skills visitors can truly get a taste of countryside life. 
Countryside Arena
From Galloping Acrobats to axe skills to scurry competitions, there's something for everyone to enjoy in the Countryside Arena.  
  • Galloping Acrobats - be prepared to be entertained by the Galloping Acrobats equestrian razzle dazzle!  Take a seat and be inspired, delighted and enchanted by the world of equestrian performance art
  • Adams Axemen - the country's best know lumberjack display team head to Royal Three Counties Show to entertain the crowds with their skillful demonstrations and challenges
  • Xtreme Falconry - have you ever seen a falcon swoop down from the skies right before your eyes?  Now is your chance, as the expert team of falconers demonstrate what these magnificent birds can do
  • Shetland Pony Display Team - this action packed performance see's teams of ponies compete to be crowned champion
  • The Quack Pack- we know sheepdogs herd sheep but did you know they are great at herding ducks too!  
  • Gundog Training and Scurry Competitions - watch as the dogs are set challenges to retrieve in the fastest time with competitions held throughout the show
Farriery And Blacksmithing 
Farriery and blacksmithing are ancient and highly skilled crafts.  As one of the largest competitions in the country there is a full programme with competitors from all over the UK and beyond. Visitors can watch sparks fly as horseshoes are fitted and the Blacksmiths create a range of contemporary and traditional ironwork.  
The huge climbing poles at the heart of the Forestry Area are not to be missed, and are scaled once again by competitors from around the country, racing against the clock as they compete in Pole Climbing Championships.  Not to be missed, you can now have a go at scaling one of the giant poles.  Don't forget there are plenty of other forestry-related activities, machinery and opportunities to gain advice on tree care. 
Vintage Machinery 
With a fascinating range of tractors, vintage commercial vehicles and miniature steam engines on display, visitors can get a real feel for working life of yesteryear.  Aside from working demonstrations of threshing there will be parades of Vintage Tractors and Farming Machinery in the Countryside Arena.
