POST BREXIT OPPORTUNITIES will be debated at the annual Three Counties Farming Conference in association with Knight Frank, which takes place on November 15 at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire.

The Three Counties Farming Conference kicks off at 2.15pm with afternoon sessions on rural affairs.

Speakers include Charles Smith, of The Farming Community Network, Ross Murray, of Knight Frank and Hannah Moule of Moule & Co and Business Barn.

NFU Horticulture and Potato Board Member and MD of Sandfields Farm Ltd, Derek Wilkinson, will also bring an update on employing part time agricultural workforces.

The afternoon sessions will be followed by presentations from two Nuffield Scholars at 4.20pm, presenting their recent papers.

Geraint Powell will look at how to strike a healthy balance between economy and ecology and Richard Counsell will share the ups and downs of bringing a specialist farmer-owned insurance initiative to life to help farms of all sizes manage volatile prices and input costs.

The evening event starting at 6.30pm, chaired by farmer and BBC Countryfile presenter Adam Henson, has three opinionated high-profile speakers presenting their views on post Brexit opportunities to a 400-strong audience followed by a question and answer session from the delegates.

Expert speakers will include President of the NFU, Minette Batters, who runs a tenanted family farm in Wiltshire, Shadow Minister for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs with special interest in farming, Stroud MP David Drew and Chairman of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee, Neil Parish.

Over 25 agricultural trade stands will feature at the conference offering advice, support and opportunities for farm businesses, and information for students wanting to pursue a career in agriculture.

Ticket prices are £20 in advance and £22 on the day, or for students, £10 in advance or £11 on the day. This includes admission to both the afternoon and evening conferences and the networking buffet, taking place between 5pm to 6.30pm.
