Three Counties Good Life Show – 21 & 22 July 2021 in association with M&S Food.

Let us welcome you into the life of a grow your own enthusiastic or aspiring smallholder and you can explore all the key ingredients to an idyllic rural life, with local-origin livestock displays and showing classes, artisan food and drink, live rural crafts demonstrations, countryside shopping and special guests to celebrate the best of country living!

Visitors to the two-day Three Counties Good Life Show can experience the best bits of farming life, with a livestock zone celebrating local breeds, such as Gloucester Old Spot pigs and Herefordshire Cattle, as well as two talks theatres dedicated to exploring the life of a smallholder and how to get the biggest bounty from your garden. And don’t forget your sustainable shopping bag! For those wanting to stock up their larders with artisan food and drink or rural apparel from a wealth of independent food vendors and countryside retail outlets.

Grow Your Own Zone

Join us in our Grow and Cook Theatre, sponsored by M&S Food, for live cooking demonstrations and talks about growing your own produce. Visitors can expect interesting talks from Escape to the Country’s Jules Hudson, writer Jon Wheatley and presenter and celebrity gardener Terry Walton and a whole host of special guests. Whether you’ve finally graduated from the allotment waiting list or are growing from your windowsill or back garden, our special guests will inspire you to grow for your table with expert tips and tricks and lots of fun along the way.

Make a start or add to your garden collection by browsing a range of plant and gardening stands or ask your burning home-growing questions at the informal advice area.

Smallholdings Zone

Wonder through impressive displays and showing classes of local-origin livestock including Hereford Cattle, Gloucester Old Spot pigs, Ryeland, Cotswold and Shropshire sheep, Angora goats and even alpacas! Each display will have an expert breeder on hand to answer all your questions about their breed, working on a farm or smallholding or even setting up on your own. For those thinking a little smaller, discover all there is to know about owning chickens and poultry, bee-keeping or caring for different types of rabbits. If you want to know more, grab a seat at the Smallholdings Theatre hosted by Reg Moule and soak up advice and tips from countryside experts.

Rural Living Zone

Ever wondered about the fascinating world of rural crafts? Be amazed by impressive tradesmen and women at work with exciting live blacksmithing demonstrations as well as trug making, glass artistry and wood turning displays. Immerse yourself in nostalgia with beautiful Hook Norton shire horses, who are still used to transport beer for the traditional Hook Norton Brewery.
